Our client in Southborough, MA is seeking an Advisor to work in IT Service Operations. In this contract role, you will provide expertise to ensure holistic support, proactive monitoring, and overall health of IT applications, IT tools, infrastructure (hardware, data, software), security, information access, system performance and data integrity. Responsibilities for the Advisor:
  • Troubleshoot complex, intricate technical problems to ensure optimal service levels; work on multiple incidents and/or projects simultaneously
  • Act as a point of escalation in complex, critical instances and may delegate tasks to peers and others throughout internal organization
  • Utilize tools to verify and validate that proper thresholds and infrastructure/application information are represented and set appropriately
  • Investigate major service interruptions and service interruption resolutions and may assist in ensuring future stability of infrastructure and data
  • Communicate with cross-functional and inter-departmental teams, including executive and managerial audiences, to provide problem resolution updates
  • Respond to incidents utilizing a variety of communication vehicles including: email, bridge calls, conference calls, instant messaging, and one-on-one communications
  • Be involved in vendor escalations, through direct vendor contact or partnership with other internal teams
  • Review documentation, diagrams, configurations, and tools and regularly contributes to internal knowledge bases and departmental documentation
  • Provide technical expertise in cross-functional and intra-departmental efforts
  • Lead critical incident turnover with geographically dispersed teams
  • Leverage experience and technical knowledge and opinion to lead process and technical improvements to the IT environments and overall customer experience
Requirements for the Advisor:
  • LDAP experience
  • Web Access Management experience preferred
  • Linux Experience
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
