Our client is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join their Westwood, MA office on a contract basis.  The Benefits Coordinator will be working with multiple clients in multiple states and is responsible for a broad range of employee benefit programs, including open enrollment, benefit administration and compliance (including FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA).

Responsibilities of the Benefits Coordinator:

  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, group life, short/long term disability, insurance, retirement plans for multiple clients in multiple states
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment; coordinate with external plan vendors, help prepare and review communication materials; audit employee elections and trouble-shoot issues
  • Partner with HR Business Partners for implementation of new benefits plans
  • Process benefit related changes i.e. new hires, status changes, termination on carrier’ s websites
  • Respond to employee benefit-related questions
  • Assist with Benefit renewal process
  • Process, reconcile and audit benefit invoices
  • Perform other task or projects as assigned

Requirements for the Benefits Coordinator:
  • 3 years’ experience in employee benefits
  • Bachelor’ s Degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of ADP, preferably Workforce Now 10
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise a high degree of discretion
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
