Responsibilities for the Director of Business Operations:
  • Develop and implement necessary policies, procedures, training and communication plans to streamline decision making and daily routine operations
  • Develop and manage vendor management strategy and function. Increase knowledge and evaluate products, services, and capabilities offered through our custodian(s)
  • Manage external technology support/service relationship. Respond to and solve business critical technology issues
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to provide cost effective solutions that address business needs, reduce risk, and ensure a stable operating environment
  • Operate and coordinate facilities management function including building security and maintenance
  • Collaborate with COO and Director of Client Services to develop and implement cyber security program
  • Support COO and Director of Client Services in annual risk assessment, business contingency planning, etc.
  • Acquire working knowledge of SFP/LPL trading tools, procedures, and processes
  • Develop contingency trading strategy
  • Accountable for Investment Operations compliance tasks
  • Oversee and manage annual business planning process including interim reporting requirements, initiative updates, and quarterly scorecard
  • Work closely with COO to complete annual budgeting framework, variance reporting, and support annual review of advisor term sheet costs, categories, and allocations
  • Work closely with COO to develop and implement product development process from idea stage, operational review, and through cost/benefit stage
Requirements for the Director of Business Operations:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree, business related (finance, accounting, or marketing, etc.) preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Experience in Trading or Investment Operations preferred
  • Experience in working with LPL Financial preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Mac environment and Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of accounting basics and Salesforce CRM preferred
  • Must be comfortable with changing schedules and priorities: have the ability to handle an urgent client requests and then quickly return to planned activities for the day
  • Must be flexible in terms of periodically working/responding outside of work hours to critical technology or facility issues
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
