Our client in Boston, MA is seeking a Director of Enrollment to join their team. As the Director of Enrollment, you will report to the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Study Abroad, and collaborate closely with the Institutional Relations, Academic Affairs, Health/Safety/Security, and Finance teams to plan and provide a best-in-field experience for students interested in Study Abroad programs from application through to arriving on one of the many programs abroad. Responsibilities for the Director of Enrollment:
  • Lead the team to meet or exceed enrollment targets by maximizing the conversion of applicants to paid participants during the application and pre-departure process
  • Develop selling strategies to drive growth in enrollments across programs/regions
  • Oversee the development and execution of strategies to inform students about programs at all phases of the application and acceptance process, and to improve student conversion
  • Insure that all levels of escalated situations and emergencies that arise during the application and pre-departure process are addressed/resolved
  • Train team to insure an in-depth knowledge of each program, location and key components (i.e., housing)
  • Develop sales and conversion goals and related metrics for measuring individual and team performance
  • Determine and produce reports that communicate how enrollments are tracking by term for internal Study teams and senior management to inform the budget process
  • Analyze data and determine trends/patterns in enrollment and the student profile to drive future planning/decisions
  • Ensure the integrity of participant data in the database systems
  • Implement plans to leverage scholarship and grant aid to achieve both enrollment growth and access goals
  • Lead a performance-based, motivated enrollment staff that provide the highest level of student-centered customer service and satisfaction
  • Oversee the development and delivery of pre-departure orientation materials and activities to insure students are prepared for their program abroad
  • Lead a team of Study Abroad advisors and contribute as an active member of the Global Sales and Marketing team
Requirements for the Director of Enrollment:
  • Bachelor’ s degree, Master’ s degree preferred
  • 8 years’ experience managing an internal sales/advising team, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated success in achieving enrollment or sales targets required
  • Experience leveraging data from a CRM or contact management system preferred
  • Nuanced understanding of pricing discounts and grant aid in driving enrollments preferred
  • Experience with direct-to-student marketing efforts, including, but not limited to direct mail/phone/email outreach, on-campus events and tabling, social media
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Experience with Study Abroad preferred
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
