Our client in Boston, MA is seeking an Enrollment Advisor to join their team. As the Enrollment Advisor, you will meet and exceed enrollment targets for study abroad programs in the assigned region. Responsibilities for the Enrollment Advisor:
  • Meet or exceed enrollment targets
  • Develop and execute strategies to inform students about programs at all phases of the application and acceptance process
  • Provide superior student-centered customer service throughout the admissions and pre-departure process
  • Process applications efficiently and independently administer admission decisions to programs
  • Address and resolve all levels of escalated situations and emergencies that arise during the application and pre-departure process
  • Initiate regular, proactive and timely contact with applicants, participants, parents, and institutional study abroad advisors throughout the entirety of the enrollment cycle with the goal of increasing program enrollments
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of each program and location and proactively discuss components (academics, housing, etc.) of each with applicants
  • Advise prospective, accepted, and confirmed students on complex visa and immigration processes
  • Liaise with foreign consulates and third party visa broker and counsel to clear application roadblocks and keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations relating to immigration across all sites
  • Ensure the integrity of participant data in the database systems
  • Manage the editing process for pre-departure materials, visa instructions and other information delivered to participants upon acceptance to a program, in collaboration with resident staff
  • Work with Institutional Relations, Study Marketing, and Program Management to contribute to program efforts in recruitment, marketing and program development for the region
  • Participate in outreach to university study abroad offices in support of program marketing efforts
  • Serve as back-up contact when other advisors are out of the office
  • Exercise good professional judgment and consideration in addressing problems and questions that arise with students, parents and staff
Requirements for the Enrollment Advisor:
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience in a sales and/or customer service oriented field
  • Demonstrated interest in education abroad or higher education preferred
  • Personal study or living abroad experience
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales or enrollment targets strongly preferred
  • Must be willing and able to travel regularly- domestically and internationally, in support of program outreach efforts – travel will be approximately 15% of year
  • Solid experience working with Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
