A biopharmaceutical company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking a Human Resources  Operations Associate to join their Human Resources team. The primary role of the Human Resources  Operations Associate is to support the HR Operations functions including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS (ADP), new hire and exit processing. You will provide timely and exceptional customer service to all employees. This is an outstanding position for a motivated individual with 3 + years of experience in Human Resources.

Responsibilities for the Human Resources  Operations Associate:
  • Maintain the HRIS and input system and payroll changes into ADP
  • Prepare the HR Payroll packet
  • Run HRIS reports and support payroll SOX audits
  • Coordinate and process new hire orientation, leaves of absence, employee separations, and status changes
  • Manage ongoing benefit changes and enrollments – including the annual Open Enrollment process
  • Review benefit invoices for accuracy
  • Stay abreast of and maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Provide counsel to employees regarding questions and problems relating to new hire, termination and benefits coverage and HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain the company 401(k), medical, dental, flexible spending plan, life, and disability programs
  • Prepare and audit insurance premium reports, various discrimination tests, and form 5500’ s
  • Assist HR team with proactive identification and removal of organizational bottlenecks and obstacles
  • Provide assistance with creating and presenting reports on key HR metrics, both qualitative and quantitative. Metrics may include employee engagement, retention, attrition, market changes, and rewards and recognition activities
  • Support the immigration application process
  • Maintain employee files
  • Complete employment verification requests and unemployment claims
  • Prepare IT authorizations and Change Sheets (New Hire/Tuition Reimbursement/Status, etc.)
Requirements for the Human Resources  Operations Associate:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree or relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years in Human Resources required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and HRIS (ADP preferred)
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Effective in operating in a collaborative, fast paced environment
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create, facilitate, and deliver formal presentations appropriate for audiences of all levels
  • Solid understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and practices as well as current state and federal labor and employment laws
  • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with all levels of the organization, achieve credibility, and have the ability to influence outcomes
  • Ability to resolve, manage, and communicate complex issues to all levels
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision; understands when to escalate issues
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
