A prestigious insurance company in Boston, MA is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join their team. In this contract role, you will maintain portfolio records, processing, verifying and certifying the accuracy of all principal and interest transactions for assigned legal entities. Responsibilities for the Portfolio Analyst:
  • Process all transactions in a timely manner, research and resolve all discrepancies before the Investment Accounting System closes
  • Bring inconsistencies to Lead Analyst’ s attention
  • Process Principal and Income cash and transactions
  • Process all trades as required
  • Process Corporate Actions, verifying holdings before and after the Corporate Action has been applied, process MBS payments, process income payments
  • Resolve discrepancies within two business days
  • Research and resolve any holdings discrepancies at month end
  • Research and resolve outstanding income items within 30 days
  • Identify, research and resolve all outstanding discrepancies between Cash and Investment Accounting System (CAMRA)
  • Responsible for complete and accurate processing of all investment accounting transactions for assigned portfolios within stated time frames
  • Validate the accuracy of the final reconciliation of holdings position between Investment Accounting System and the custodians
Requirements for the Portfolio Analyst:
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • 1-3 years of work experience in investment securities operations
  • Require working knowledge of investment securities operations, investment accounting software, information systems, and strong communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
