Our client in Boston, MA is seeking a Property Claims Advocate to join their team. As the Property Claims Advocate, you will evaluate and monitor claims and coordinate with clients, claimants and insurance companies about property/casualty claims and claims programs for assigned clients. Responsibilities for the Property Claims Advocate:
  • Review all open claims to determine coverage and establish a plan of action to achieve a favorable claim resolution
  • Monitor claim service and action plans
  • Work towards resolution on behalf of clients 
  • Have knowledge of all claims and where they are in the process
  • Must be comfortable speaking with clients, claimants, insurance companies, etc.
  • Ensure that everyone is up-to-date on the claims process
  • Understand claim reserve rationale and has the ability to advocate for designated clients to determine adequacy of the reserve
  • Provide status reports to clients and other stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task and willing to assist colleagues as needed
  • Collect and monitor claims data from carriers’ and TPA systems and challenge adjusters as warranted while advocating the best possible outcome for clients in accordance with service standards
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients in several office locations to both solve client problems and bring new ideas and business solutions
  • Compliant with all system requirements for time entry and file information for each accounts assigned
Requirements for the Property Claims Advocate:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree, insurance industry professional designations, preferred
  • 3-5 years of claims experience in an insurance company, TPA, in-house claims department, or brokerage environment, in the areas of workers’ compensation, property, general liability, and auto claims
  • Work with senior members of the department and collaborate on client claims strategy and resolution techniques
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on account strategy
  • Participate in internal educational seminars and training
  • Proficient with technology including, but not limited to, all Microsoft Products, and ability to learn additional industry software programs
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
