Responsibilities for the Residency/Fellowship Coordinator:         
  • Facilitate application review process
  • Maintain records on all applicants in accordance with organizational requirements
  • Oversee data collection for multiple recruitment databases and ensures the collection and accuracy of data
  • Schedule applicant interviews
  • Organize interview day
  • Prepare schedules, disseminate application profiles, and coordinate flow of applicants
  • Plan and organize match ranking session
  • Coordinate schedules with interview team, prepares applicant list for review, and certifies rank list
  • Assist with quota review and tank list entry
  • Process academic allowance reimbursement for interns, resident and fellows
  • Respond to inquiries from trainees on balance, past expenses and permissible expenses
  • Assist with the medical student clerkship program
  • Set up pre-employment training programs, coordinate orientation day, ensure appropriate clinical and facility access, request necessary equipment and supplies (beepers, books) and be the point person if students have questions during their rotation
  • Prepare trainee lecture schedules
  • Keep the schedule up to date in the Anesthesia Intranet
  • Coordinate the preparation and set-up of lectures, sends speaker reminders, keeps attendance and maintains lecture evaluations
Requirements for the Residency/Fellowship Coordinator:
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
