KNF&T Staffing Resources is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to perform full-charge payroll responsibilities, including processing payroll for 300+ employees, weekly invoicing to clients and payables duties. As a part of the KNF&T, the Payroll Specialist will also assist the CFO and Payroll Supervisor with various accounting projects, reports, and activities. Apply today!

Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist include:     

Payroll
  • Handle all inquiries and requests from candidates & consultants regarding payroll issues
  • Manage timesheet process for temporary employees through online Erecruit portal, KNF&T’ s ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Produce proofing reports detailing status of timecards weekly, follow up as necessary
  • Verify and input all tax withholding/direct deposit information for all temp employees (W-4 & I-9 Forms)
  • Print payroll checks and process direct deposits
  • Track, report and process Holiday pays
  • Issue manual payroll checks as needed
  • Process and submit garnishments
  • Prepare and process ACH files for direct deposit
  • Complete state unemployment forms and handle inquiries
Accounts Receivable
  • Generate, post, and distribute client invoices weekly
  • Resend outstanding invoices weekly
  • Process all consolidated invoice statements for required customers
Accounts Payable
  • Invoice coding and entry
  • Generate checks
  • Follow up on any payables issues
  • Process all stop payment request

Requirements for the Payroll Specialist:
  • Bachelor Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organization skills, able to manage multiple projects while meeting processing deadlines
  • Experience in Great Plains preferred
  • Must be proficient in Excel with work experience using corporate level accounting software (Peachtree, SAP, Sage, Dynamics GP, Etc.)
  • Must be self-motivated, independent individual
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, including phone etiquette
  • Customer service attitude is important as this role interfaces with all aspects of our organization from clients to candidates to internal employees
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
