Our client in Boston, MA is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. As the Inside Sales Representative, you will support the Institutional Relations and Enrollment Team by serving as the first level contact for leads and prospective applicants on university study abroad programs. Responsibilities for the Inside Sales Representative:
  • Serve as an expert for institutions in respective territory
  • Execute strategies to inform students about programs at all phases of the inquiry and application process
  • Manage large volume of outbound calls determined by management as well as manage incoming phone calls in a timely manner
  • Identify student needs, clarify information, research issues and provide solutions and/or alternatives to support students throughout the application process to completed application status
  • Follow up with prospective students to determine level of commitment
  • Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets (i.e., completed applications and conversion of those applications) set by management
  • Attend mandatory training sessions to stay updated on product or company policy changes
  • Upsell/cross-sell of products and services when opportunity arises (i.e., internships)
  • Juggle and prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude in approaching challenging conversations and/or situations with prospective students
  • Measure conversion rates and other metrics for ongoing campaigns and make adjustments as necessary
  • Document call information and input data in to company CRM to keep each customer record updated
  • Work with the Enrollment and Institutional Relations to serve as an expert on institutions within respective territory and contribute to program team efforts in recruitment and marketing for the region
Requirements for the Inside Sales Representative:
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a sales and/or customer service orientated field
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales or enrollment targets strongly preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Must be approachable and friendly and be able to exude empathy and control on the phone and in email
  • Have the flexibility to respond quickly and appropriately to changing circumstance and clients’ needs
  • High level of attention to detail, excellent time management and significant ability to multi-task
  • Ability to show initiative and take the lead on projects, while also being able to take direction when needed
  • Must have the ability to plan for and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and on tight deadlines
  • Must have strong organizational and administrative skills and be resourceful
  • Willingness to attend evening or weekend events as needed and to travel domestically several times a year
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
