Our client in Quincy, MA is looking for a Junior  Training and Instructional Designer to join their team. In this role, you will use creativity and knowledge of various media software to develop engaging and aesthetic training products. Compensation: up to $75K

Responsibilities for the Junior Training and Instructional Designer:
  • Work with a cross-functional team, including the project manager and SME, to determine the scope, requirements, and timeline for a given project/course
  • Develop the project/course learning objectives and design document
  • Determine the appropriate medium(s) to present the content (e.g. self-paced tutorial, video, mixed reality)
  • Curate existing NFPA content to be utilized or enhanced for a given project/course
  • Conduct a gap needs assessment of graphics and other media required for a given project/course
  • Write course narratives and/or course video script(s)
  • Develop course content using Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or mixed reality software
  • Develop supporting project/course materials such as job aids or infographics
  • Conceptualize, design, and produce graphics demonstrating complex technical constructs and concepts
  • Collaborate and iterate with the instructional designer(s), project managers and SME’ s to review course output and incorporate feedback as necessary to produce alpha, beta, and final versions of each course

Requirements for the Junior  Training and Instructional Designer:
  • Stay up-to-date on current best practices and trends in learning experience design, graphic design, eLearning, training and technology applications and have basic programming skills including JavaScript and HTML5
  • Bachelor’ s Degree or comparable work experience with 1 to 5 years of demonstrated knowledge in developing eLearning or other training packages for internal/external customers
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
