Responsibilities for the Operations Supervisor:         
  • Direct and provide leadership to facilities staff
  • Plan and delegate work and make decisions regarding employment, training and development, performance evaluations, salary recommendations and related staff issues
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for various Operations Department accounts; develop operating forecasts and operates within approved budget limitations
  • Work directly with various vendors, internal contacts, and appropriate building management personnel for cleaning, restoration and other general housekeeping needs on a day-today basis
  • Negotiate and manage maintenance contracts for equipment and furniture
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance in office
  • Oversee the purchasing function and ensures compliance with purchasing policy
  • Maintain office supplies inventory for the firm
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and furniture both on-site and off-site
  • Manage ergonomic program for the Boston office
  • Manage internal office moves to include scheduling, notification and coordination
  • Coordinate internal moves and office setups for new arrivals
  • Assist with case room assignments to include determining the most efficient use of space, and coordinate appropriate set up
  • Liaise with building engineers and building staff
  • Contribute to the Firm's Service Excellence initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally
Requirements for the Operations Supervisor:
  • BA/BS preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in the Office Services field
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
