Responsibilities for the Senior Technical Developer/Solutions Architect:
  • Partner with IT and line of business functional groups to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to the development of long range system plans, and ensure that IT products, services and processes are aligned with line of business needs
  • Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and cost benefit measurements
  • Communicate trends and requirements to and from customers and IT
  • Support one or more key IT or business functions, identifying opportunities to apply technologies to the attendant processes, advising personnel on the technologies, and providing consultancy support to define and design new or revised processes
  • Develop architectural blueprints that relate the business processes and enabling technologies for the enterprise, and/or monitor key technologies and corporate technical standards in order to implement the underlying information and technology enablers
  • Direct projects and is responsible for the overall implementation and execution of the delivered solution, and develop, motivate and direct staff in a team environment to achieve deliverables
  • Maintain full knowledge in all phases of a line of business process or IT technology implementation
  • Contribute to define and execute the visionary and strategic direction of the IT Organization
  • Develop and implement policies and/or processes for relevant technical and/or business domain areas, and facilitate development of cross line of business solutions
  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues to resolution with senior IT and line of business management, company officers and external principals
  • Reinvest in IT by actively sharing knowledge, information and expertise with and/or mentoring other members of the IT community in their area of expertise
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive information and/or technology programs and activities of outstanding novelty and/or experience
Requirements for the Senior Technical Developer/Solutions Architect:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years of information technology experience
  • Experience with the software development life cycle for Commercial off the shelf (COTS) systems as well as for business application and database design
  • Ability to conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and cost benefit measurements
  • Ability to communicate trends and requirements to and from the business and IT
  • In-depth working knowledge of IT technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, techniques and operating practices for all aspects of IT services
  • Ability to organize, oversee and execute the most complex IT projects, some of which will require the introduction and integration of new technology to the existing infrastructure
  • Understanding of customer business processes and problems, the IT strategies, issues and priorities, and how the business and IT interrelate
  • Mastery knowledge of development languages and platforms such as Microsoft.Net, Java, C#, SQL, MS Office Suite and database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server; Middleware technologies such as Informatica and WebMethods; along with domain knowledge for server technologies such as Windows & Unix servers
  • Experience with Work and Asset Management systems/business process
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
