Our client in Boston, MA is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team part time for 20 to 24 hours/week. As the Accounting Manager, you will work closely with the Controller, Project Managers, and Principal. Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:
  • Enter and pay bills, process credit card expenses and payments
  • Create invoices from estimates and perform progress billing
  • Assist interior designers with procurement process
  • Create purchase orders, credit memos, and record returns and exchanges
  • Organize project backup information and scan and archive documents
  • Interface with vendors
  • Record client payments
  • Provide administrative support maintaining and organizing accounting files, project binders, insurance certificates and contracts
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets
  • Contribute to general office management and administrative tasks
  • Perform light human resources functions such as tracking benefit renewals
Requirements for the Accounting Manager:
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera and QuickBooks
  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting
  • Associate’ s Degree required
  • Microsoft Office: Must be proficient with Word and Excel
  • Prior A/E industry experience is a plus
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
