A CPA firm in Waltham, MA is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in administrative work. In this hands-on position, you will work directly with the office manager to meet the day to day operations of the firm as well as fulfill the administrative needs of the individual members of the management team. Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant:
  • Assist Management Team and provide them with the necessary administrative support when requested
  • Process tax returns to be sent to clients including copying, collating, and binding
  • Working closely with the office manager to fulfill the day to day operating needs of the firm and management
  • Perform reception work including answering phones and greeting clients and visitors
  • Bill clients and prepare and maintain firm A/R deposits
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • File and create files
  • Maintain a clean and organized office
  • Update and create Word and Excel documents
Requirements for the Administrative Assistant:
  • Associate’ s or Bachelor’ s Degree preferred
  • Prior administrative experience a plus, but not necessary
  • High level of personal organization and focus
  • Ability to quickly absorb training and apply it to tasks presented
  • Ability to ask questions when uncertainties arise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to respond to changing deadlines and seamlessly move from one task to the other
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to deal with intense and extremely stressful deadlines as part of working for a CPA firm
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
