Responsibilities for the Budget Analyst:
- Assist in monitoring and controlling the operating budget
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the annual budget process
- Maintain the Position Control Reporting System to confirm with pre-established guidelines as determined in the operating budget for salaries and wages
- Complete reconciliations with the legacy budget system and the budget ledger; utilize a personal computer and programming software to extract budget information for ad hoc reporting and variance analyses
- Prepare financial analyses and special projects as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a closely related field
- 2 years of previous experience in accounting or a related field
- 2+ years in budgeting and financial analysis
- Strong organizational and analytical skills necessary to resolve problems
- Demonstrated experience using software and a report writer to gain access to information for use in reporting or analyzing variances or out of balance conditions
- Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
