Responsibilities for the Business Development Representative:
  • Source and develop potential clients by implementing a solicitation program to establish new banking relationships from the business community
  • Develop and implement select customer referral strategies
  • Responsible for initial client relationship and follow up with new prospects
  • Develop business banking strategies in order to sell products and services to prospective clients
  • Originate mortgage and consumer loans
  • Participate as an active Banking Center team member
  • Implement established policies and procedures within scope of activities
  • Develop solid relationships with members of the business community by networking through community involvement
  • Research loan and deposit account activity to develop new services and identify customer needs
  • Keep abreast of loan rates and services
  • Formalize and implement sales strategies and marketing approaches based on internal and external forecasts and market trends
  • Keep abreast of developments within the banking industry
Requirements for the Business Development Representative:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree preferred or its equivalent specialized coursework and training
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a retail banking environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet established sales goals and objectives
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to register as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required under the S.A.F.E. Act
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
