A highly reputable banking company in Boston’ s Back Bay is seeking an ambitious Commercial Banker III to join their office. Your primary duties will include developing relationships and bringing new business to the Commercial Real Estate team; as well as managing, growing and maintaining existing loan portfolios. Responsibilities for the Commercial Banker III:
  • Work independently to develop new business opportunities, to grow and expand clientele
  • Be actively involved in industry and community organizations, with the goal of growing customer base
  • Assist in underwriting, by analyzing financial information, and reports to prepare and present credit approval memorandums
  • Order appraisals, environmental reports, issue commitment letters and coordinate closing and oversee loan bookings
  • Support the Retail department by increasing deposits from clients, and generating non-interest fee income through the appropriate recommendation of interest risk hedging products, loan participation sales and referrals to partner organizations
  • Maintain and grow established portfolio relationships
  • monitor ongoing credit quality, complete annual credit review
  • Ensure portfolio is compliant with current policy
Requirements for the Commercial Banker III:
  • Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of commercial lending, underwriting, and portfolio management
  • Established relationships in the community, with an understanding of the commercial real estate marketplace
  • Strong understanding of banking credit policies, guidelines and legal regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service, and possess solid interpersonal skills
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
