Our client in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager with 4+ years of experience in commercial contract management. This role will be responsible for the review, negotiation and management of all commercial contracts for their service and product offerings world-wide. As the Commercial Contracts Manager, you will work closely with other business development, project management and finance staff, attorneys and senior management within the company. Responsibilities for the Commercial Contracts Manager:
  • Review, negotiate and execute a variety of commercial agreements 
  • Ensure commercial contracts are executed consistently and in compliance with regulations, company policies, guidance documents, and SOPs
  • Maintain and update the status of agreements in a tracking system and regularly communicate such status to key stakeholders
  • Archive their commercial contracts and manage contract databases
  • Represent the company with customers and partners in a professional manner
  • Manage the development and maintenance of contract templates and contract policies and procedures
  • Provide formal and informal training and guidance to the company’ s commercial staff on contract negotiation and review procedures
Requirements for the Commercial Contracts Manager:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in business administration, legal studies or related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in contract review and management in a sales operations, procurement, contracts or in-house legal role, preferably in life science or software industry
  • Understanding of contract process and common business practices, either in the life science services industry or the software industry
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English, especially English legal writing; excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform at high level in a high-volume, fast-paced, high performing and dynamic corporate environment
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and comply with deadlines; excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Ability to quickly understand objectives, learn new information, identify issues and conduct risk/benefit analysis; strong analytical skills
  • Must have a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to interact confidently and appropriately with senior management, business development, sales operations colleagues and with customer’ s business and legal representatives
  • High level of enthusiasm, sense of urgency and capacity to overcome obstacles; strong self-motivation and willingness to learn
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
