Responsibilities for the Communications Assistant:
  • Create daily global news media clip report, as well as special reports
  • Providing writing and project support to Internal Communications team
  • Help to develop and maintain media lists
  • Direct inbound media inquiries
  • Help to plan and execute media and other events
  • Coordinate global communications activity report
  • Manage projects/processes such as press release approvals and Compliance reviews
  • Coordinate reprint orders and updates in conjunction with Marketing team
  • Opportunity to take on proactive media relations assignments
  • Help develop project grids with deliverables and timetables
  • Providing project support and coordination for Government Relations team
  • Support community outreach and charitable programs
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and agendas, take notes and follow up
Requirements for the Communications Assistant:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing, public affairs, etc.
  • 1 year of communications or marketing experience (including internships)
  • Outstanding writing skills, strong oral and graphical communications abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a global team
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Well organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage projects on-schedule from start to finish, often under deadline pressure
  • Poised, confident and capable of working with senior executives
  • Demonstrated interest in the news media, politics/policy, and financial services
  • Customer-first mindset, commitment to excellence, and strong integrity
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with media relations or news clipping software a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
