A reputable, global law firm in Boston, MA is seeking a Conflicts Specialist to join their team. As the Conflicts Specialist, you will be responsible for entering in potential new clients and matters, new hires, attorney surveys, marketing requests and additional parties on existing matters in Aderant, the Firm’ s financial system. Responsibilities for the Conflicts Specialist:
  • Assist in running conflict searches and reporting potential conflicts to the Conflicts and Risk Analysts
  • Assist in opening and maintaining client/matter files.
  • Monitor the conflicts inbox for intake request, and track the conflicts approval, new client intake approval process, and receipt of any applicable documentation required by the Firm
  • Communicate with other members of the conflicts team, and conflicts supervisor regarding outstanding intake matters; and provide updates to attorneys as required
  • Perform daily maintenance of the Firm’ s client and matter information in Aderant
Requirements for the Conflicts Specialist:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal or research experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize assignments and move quickly from one to another
  • Ability to work extended hours on a short-term and limited basis to accommodate short-term activity spikes and urgent requests
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
