A healthcare organization in Boston, MA is seeking a Development Coordinator to join their team. In this contract-to-hire role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to senior members of the Research Institute fundraising team. Your responsibilities will include assisting with calendar management; performing Raiser’ s Edge data entry; preparing and distributing reports and mailing lists; processing business expenses; and assisting with travel arrangements and with preparations for meetings, events and presentations. Responsibilities for the Development Coordinator :
  • Manage the calendars of supported individuals with minimal guidance
  • Ensure smooth execution of meeting and event preparations, including coordination of meeting agendas, materials, conference rooms, A/V and other related support
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, prepare itineraries, and process business expenses and vendor payments with minimal guidance
  • Submit accurate employee expenses and corporate card expenses following appropriate procedures, with minimal guidance and an understanding of related policies and procedures
  • Assist with reviewing and drafting correspondence
  • Gather and record information and action items accurately in Raiser’ s Edge (RE) constituent records and add increasingly detailed information to records
  • Process gifts for supported individuals with an understanding of gift types, transactions and processes
  • Complete booking forms for gifts and pledges in a timely manner and provide relevant gift information and backup for gift acknowledgements
  • Work with the Prospect Research team to collect relevant information
  • Assist with daily operational activities that may include occasionally delivering materials
  • Prepare progress reports
Requirements for the Development Coordinator :
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 1-2 years of related work experience required
  • MS Office experience, Power Point, Intermediate excel knowledge, Outlook a must
  • Experience managing several calendars at the same time, at a high level
  • Experience working in a development office strongly preferred
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Raiser’ s Edge preferred
  • Ability to evaluate problems accurately and display sound and confidential judgment
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
