Compensation: Up to $145K

Responsibilities for the Director of Licensing:
  • Design, build and support a world class licensing strategy across the organization
  • Develop, implement and manage seamless processes and that support the speed of the organization
  • Create, integrate and administer systems for managing licenses & administering licensees
  • Construct and evaluate sustainable pricing strategies models
  • Work with the marketing, content development, editorial and sales teams on brand strategy & stewardship
  • Establish, build and maintain relationships with licensees, negotiate and sell licenses
  • Administer licenses-building the process for data and content usage, approvals and clearances
  • Collaborate with our legal team on contracts and deal structure

  Requirements for the Director of Licensing:
  • 10 years of licensing experience including strategic planning, identifying, evaluating, structuring and managing licensing partnerships and business opportunities on a worldwide basis
  • Value the mechanics of interpreting business needs and making decisions based on changing priorities
  • Knowledge of high-performance digital media and/or technology                   
  • Take pride in your crew; understanding that diverse levels of experience, backgrounds, and ideas are important “ keys” to a successful team
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
