A leading law firm in Boston, MA is seeking an Estate Administrator to join their team. As the Estate Administrator, you will perform a variety of Estate and Trust administration duties for the firm as assigned. Responsibilities for the Estate Administrator:
  • Responsible for client probate administration
  • Develop and implement a systematic protocol for presenting asset and deduction information for 706 tax preparation
  • Responsible for preparing information to the CPA for tax returns
  • Assist clients in gathering assets and bill payment
  • Determine estate tax deductions
  • Responsible for the estate distributions
  • Draft trustee appointment documents, forego funding agreements, receipts, releases and other miscellaneous documents
  • Deliver devises to devisees
  • Possess thorough understanding of the firm’ s overall mission and supports that mission in their approach to communicating with office personnel and through job responsibilities
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Operate office equipment including computer, telephone, fax machine, copier and printer in order to prepare reports, standard correspondence, emails, memoranda and other administrative documents
  • Complete other projects and functions as assigned by the Partners.
Requirements for the Estate Administrator:
  • 1-3 years of estate and trust experience
  • Bachelor's degree with a degree in related subject matter preferred
  • Ability to prepare Estate and Trust Accounts
  • Approximately 5 years on the job experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Word, EVP, GEMS, CCH Pro System Fx
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
