A major healthcare organization is looking for an organized File Clerk to prepare employee files for pick-up by a third-party company. This is a contract role where the file clerk will organize paperwork according to an efficient filing system and transfer documents to filing boxes as per the specifications of the third party. The ideal candidate is organized and has a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection. If you are skilled at computers and detail-oriented, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities for the File Clerk:
  • Categorizing and filing confidential paperwork according to an established system
  • Transferring paper employee files from cabinets to file boxes
  • Executing organizational specifications as indicated by the third-party company
  • Updating Excel spreadsheet tracker
  • Cooperating with other file clerks to file, transfer, and track files
  • Reporting to project coordinator to verify accuracy

Requirements for the File Clerk:
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Job functions involve standing, kneeling, bending and lifting file boxes that are full of paperwork
  • Intermediate skill in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to effectively manage issues and mediate fair solutions
  • The ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems and situations quickly and effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
