A financial services company in Boston, MA is seeking a Financial Accounting and Distribution Analyst to join their team. In this contract-to-hire role, you will be responsible for following functions within the Securities Lending Services division; timely processing of cash position estimates and investments, broker billing reconciliation, 3rd party custodian invoice processing, facilitating the payment of client earnings, and escalation of high risk breaks to Ops management and the Trading Desk. The candidate will work closely with the Trading Desk, Relationship Management, Clients, and the numerous borrowers that the company maintains relationships with. Responsibilities for the Financial Accounting and Distribution Analyst:
  • Ensure daily output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met
  • Assist management in ensuring proper product delivery, proper escalation and resolution of high exposure items, maintaining the proper balance of cost, control and client service (3Cs), and maintaining proper standards and controls
  • Identify and resolve workflow issues
  • Build relationships at all levels both within and outside the organization
  • Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure
  • Challenge all processes, procedures and practices
  • Ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls
  • Identify, test, and implement new processes
Requirements for the Financial Accounting and Distribution Analyst:
  • BS/BA degree in a relevant field
  • 0-1 years of industry experience, securities lending background a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with external parties
  • An aptitude for analytical and problem resolution
  • Self Starter, proactive, and objective oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet client reporting and cash vehicle deadlines
  • High aptitude in Microsoft Excel and Hyperion
  • Working knowledge of BIDS, Keystone, and Worldview
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
