Our client in Boston, MA is looking for a Fund Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be maintaining all accounting softwares to track transactions and assets of each fund and managing daily trade settlement and valuations on various investment portfolios. Compensation: up to $70k + Bonus

Responsibilities for the Fund Analyst:
  • Maintain all accounting software to track transactions and assets of each fund including Advent Geneva, Dmaxx the Books, Eze Castle, and internally built reporting tools
  • Complete daily and month-end portfolio accounting and compliance reporting for a range of mutual funds, hedge funds, and managed accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of fund financial statements, performance estimates and various other reports for investors
  • Support the annual external audits and tax preparation work
  • Interact with external banks, brokers, fund administrators, other service providers and vendors
  • Initiate cash wire movements between fund accounts and overseeing the daily margin process for all brokers
  • Maintain all fund related daily data such as brokerage statements and compliance reports in an organized manner
  • Assist with implementation of new software and solutions
  • Assist with the daily management of interns and reviewing of their daily work

  Requirements for the Fund Analyst:
  • Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Experience in accounting for derivative securities (mainly Futures and Forwards)
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
