A reputable financial services firm in Boston is seeking a Global Cash Processing Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis (pay is up to $14/hr). The Global Cash Processing Specialist is an entry level position where you will be responsible for processing various clients' capstock, expenses, and other cash transactions. In addition, you will be responsible for cash clearing account reconciliations, cash breaks resolution and timely inquiry responses.

Responsibilities for the Global Cash Specialist:
  • Accurately process clients' cash transactions, including capstock, expenses, wires, book transfers, expects and foreign exchange
  • Meet all client deliverables in accordance with procedures and controls
  • Research and resolve all client cash inquiries in accordance with procedures and controls
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to internal and external clients
  • Work closely with the client, Client Service teams, Treasury, Funds Transfer, and Transfer Agents to foster strong working relationships
  • Promptly escalate sensitive/risk issues to management
  • Cross train with colleagues to assist with coverage during absences
  • Enhance quality and efficiency by identifying workflow improvements
  • Efficiently utilize the company’ s systems and tools/cash products to maximize productivity
  • Keep abreast of market changes and impact to cash processes/settlements
  • Understand and monitor cash restrictions and penalties in local markets to avoid potential risk to the client and/or the firm
  • Maintain a solid understanding of cash practices and deadlines by market

Requirements for the Global Cash Specialist:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years global custody experience
  • Analytical ability
  • Working knowledge of global cash and FX markets a plus
  • Technical proficiency in internal and/or web based systems a plus
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Excel and Access
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Strong aptitude for numbers
  • Strong accuracy on tasks completed
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
