Our client in Cambridge, MA is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team. In this role, you will act as an advisor to leaders, physicians and staff in developing and communicating solutions that support the unique needs of each department. The HR Generalist provides coaching and guidance, policy interpretation, executes programs and transactions, responds to complaints, recruits talent, manages employee relations issues, and helps support compliance related matters for their designated areas. Responsibilities for the HR Generalist:
  • Advise assigned department leadership and staff on HR organizational issues to promote a high performance, values-based and effective organizational culture
  • Collaborate with client groups to identify and execute key opportunities to impact business priorities and demonstrate the value HR contributes
  • Develop strong and productive working relationships with stakeholders and peers
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Human Resources and legal team to provide guidance, coaching and direction to leaders regarding employee relations and the corrective action process
  • Partner with content experts to coordinate and conduct complex investigations, drafts and communicates appropriate responses
  • Act as a change agent with client groups and within Human Resources
  • Utilize internal and external data and benchmarks to address organizational challenges and measure the results of initiatives
  • Participate in the implementation of new policies, systems and/or procedures for both assigned areas and within Human Resources 
  • Partner with clients to lead recruitment and compensation initiatives for assigned areas to identify and retain top talent
  • Administer the Leave of Absence policies and programs for assigned client areas
  • Participate in the rotation of New Employee Orientation and coordinate the speaker series for days assigned
  • Partner with CHRO to develop and communicate metrics that demonstrate the impact the workforce has on overall company performance and support improved decision-making

Requirements for the HR Generalist:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in HR or related field 
  • 7-10 years of related work experience 
  • Previous experience working in health care a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of principles, practices and theories, technology and laws in HR, previous experience in a generalist position
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access, and other web-based applications
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
