Our client in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Head of Marketing to join their team. As the Head of Marketing, you will lead and grow the brand and marketing strategy and the marketing team. You, along with your team, will lead the charge on the entire purchase journey – from awareness to exploration to the sale – effectively driving adoption and sales in all target segments. Responsibilities for the Head of Marketing:
  • Partner with leadership to clarify/derive answers to strategic questions related to vision and mission
  • Lead the entire company to shared vision on a successful brand identity
  • Set the overall marketing strategy and oversee execution of marketing activities
  • Set Marketing, Digital, Brand, Channel, Product Marketing strategies
  • Oversee Marketing Ops, Product and Brand Marketing, Marketing Comms teams
  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy to consistently disseminate agreed-upon messaging to internal and external audiences
  • Responsible for establishment and oversight of key processes, e.g., Material Development, Content Management
  • Determine roles and responsibilities between marketing functions for Strategy, Planning and Execution activities; also determine responsibilities for overlapping activities
Requirements for the Head of Marketing:
  • 10-15+ years of demonstrated results in marketing
  • Proven leadership skills and presence, understands how to quickly establish credibility with senior leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in putting marketing plans, teams, and processes in place
  • Proven track record of distilling technical information into easy-to-digest messages
  • Understanding of end-to-end scientific B2B marketing
  • Domain expertise in genomics and some domain expertise in bioscience, biotechnology, and/or life sciences
  • Ability to collaborate and lead effectively with a variety of business leaders, technology leaders, product management, UX, Sales, and other key stakeholders to understand and react to their needs
  • Organized, detail and process-oriented, with experience in assembling core processes as baseline for success in building out an organization
  • Serve as business partner/trusted advisor to the company and externally as the face of marketing
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
