Responsibilities for the Human Resources Director:
  • Review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance
  • Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters
  • Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed
  • Responsible for talent management including recruitment, onboarding and professional development
  • Administer and negotiate company all company benefits programs
  • Oversee processing compensation to include payroll administration
  • Assist executive management in the performance management and annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program
  • Coordinate or conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the COO, on personnel matters
  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel and employee relations matters
  • Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for the organization
  • Develop and maintain a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs
  • Supervise the staff of the human resource department and office management

Requirements for the Human Resources Director:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resource Development or related field
  • Strong Generalist background
  • Broad knowledge of state and federal guidelines governing personnel practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the Company
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the organization
  • In depth knowledge of HRIS/Payroll system
  • ADP a plus
