A global law firm in Boston, MA is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team. In this role, you will perform cross-functional human resources assignments such as employee relations, training and development, HRIS, FMLA/benefits administration, policy Administration, and recruitment. Compensation: $95K-130K

Responsibilities for the Human Resources Manager:
  • Assist with policy administration, including updating, and interpreting policies for staff
  • Ensure accurate and timely responses to requests for departmental services
  • Monitor time, attendance, overtime, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm policies
  • Plan and coordinate various office-wide training to provide professional development opportunities
  • Prepare and maintain weekly tracker vacancy report outlining the status of current professional staff openings
  • Oversees employees' work performance and provides guidance in the resolution of problems
  • Participate in the Professional Staff annual review process
  • Handle Employee Relations issues, including coaching, counseling and administering disciplinary action and terminations
  • Oversee and conduct new employee on-boarding and orientation
  • Engage in strategic planning by developing departmental goals and supporting objectives for assigned department(s)
  • Forecast financial and budget requirements for the department, prepares related reports, and monitors the budget
Requirements for the Human Resources Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of Human Resources and three year managerial experience
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Employee Benefits fields and procedures, including recruitment, performance management, policy administration, time and attendance
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Knowledge and implementation of the annual budget process
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
