Our client in Boston, MA who was named a "Best Place to Work" in 2018, is seeking an IP Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will handle all incoming electronic and paper mail, faxes, and courier packages while also processing new U.S and foreign applications into the docket management system. Additionally, you will help enter newly incoming filing information and ensure that all data is entered correctly.   Responsibilities for the IP Administrator:
  • Manage U.S. Patent and Trademark docketing process
  • Process new U.S. and foreign applications into docket management system
  • Handle all incoming electronic and paper mail, faxes and courier packages
  • Enter newly incoming filing information into the docket and maintain the docket database
  • Create regular docket reports for attorneys and staff
  • Make annuity and maintenance fee payments by utilizing our third party vendor
  • Adhere to policy for entering time into Firm’ s timekeeping system upon payment of maintenance fees and annuities
  • Prepare cost estimates for attorneys and for inclusion with letters to clients regarding upcoming deadlines

Requirements for the IP Administrator:
  • Bachelor’ s degree preferred
  • At least one year of experience in U.S and foreign patent and trademark docketing
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
