A Boston national law firm is currently seeking a full-time IP Docketing Assistant to join their expanding Intellectual Property Department. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of solid IP docketing experience (either foreign or US) in a law firm setting. Apply today!

Compensation: Up to $60K

Responsibilities for the IP Docketing Assistant:
  • Review incoming and outgoing electronic and hard copy communications
  • Determine deadlines to be docketed
  • Clear old deadlines and docket new deadlines
  • Identify new or changed data
  • Update database accordingly
  • Prepare standard docket reports as requested by team leader, attorneys, paralegals, IP assistants, and staff
  • Prepare and distribute weekly docket reports
Requirements for the IP Docketing Assistant:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • 3-5 years of IP docketing experience preferably in a law firm setting
  • Experience with Foundation IP (FIP) and foreign docketing a plus
  • Outstanding sense of customer service
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software
  • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
