Responsibilities for the IT SCADA Systems Engineer:
  • Plan, design, develop, test, coordinate, implement, maintain and administer computer based systems and applications
  • Analyze business/technical and related issues to formulate and develop or purchase new and/or modified computer programs/systems
  • Create revisions to existing programs, systems and procedures and use appropriate tools to troubleshoot and correct deficiencies
  • Reconcile user requirements with existing and/or projected computer capacity, capabilities and performance
Requirements for the IT SCADA Systems Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline 
  • 5 years of related work experience required
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Experience in real-time operations systems support in the gas and electric utility industry
  • Experience with distributed technologies, relational databases and knowledge of infrastructure technology (servers, workstations, IT security, etc.,) preferred
  • Experience with SCADA Systems for gas and electric, Linux and Windows administration
  • TCP/IP network and basic SQL query skills preferred
  • Strong customer focus
  • Proven track record of producing quality products to predetermined standards and specifications plus a desire to learn and apply new skills
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
