A Boston based law firm is seeking an experienced Intake and Conflict Analyst to work directly with the General Counsel’ s Office. This position includes conducting research and assisting in resolving conflicts of interest for new clients, new hires, and other conflict inquires. In addition, the Intake and Conflict Analyst will serve as the informational and procedural resource for attorneys and staff regarding conflicts and new client intake. Apply today!

Responsibilities for the Intake and Conflict Analyst:
  • Manage conflict requests submitted by attorneys and others to resolution conflicts
  • Record and maintain information on waivers and ethical walls
  • Assist attorneys and legal administrative assistants by answering technical questions and providing technical advice to facilitate conflict resolution
  • Review requests, suggest improvements to search strategies, and check reports before attorney review
  • Elevate substantive ethical issues to the General Counsel’ s Office
  • Follow up with attorneys regarding unresolved conflicts
  • Conduct thorough reviews and track workflow of informs, engagement letters and conflict waivers
  • Maintain a central database of engagement letters and conflict waivers
  • Serve as informational and procedural resource for attorneys and staff regarding conflicts
  • Assist with development, documentation, and implementation of formal guidelines
  • Develop and deliver staff training on intake process and procedures

Requirements for the Intake and Conflict Analyst:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • 3 years of legal intake and conflicts experience
  • Knowledge of state ethical rules of professional conduct
  • Knowledge of InTapp Conflicts software and Aderant Expert and Elite and/or Elite Enterprise, a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
