Responsibilities for the Legal Administrative Assistant:
  • Supporting and assisting patent attorneys with all administrative work relating to patent applications, information disclosure statements, assignments, responses, and all documentation associated with correspondence to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“ USPTO”)
  • Preparing correspondence to foreign associates relating to foreign patent applications
  • Communicating with clients and foreign associates throughout application’ s prosecution
  • Maintaining patent portfolios
  • Uploading and filing applications and all other documents/fees with the USPTO
  • Uploading and filing assignment
  • Monitoring of attorneys’ dockets, and other duties as assigned

Requirements for the Legal Administrative Assistant:
  • 3-5 years patent experience
  • Online USPTO filing experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent Word processing abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Deadline management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, self-starter
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
