A leading law firm in Boston, MA is seeking an Intellectual Property Docket Clerk to join their Patent Prosecution Department. In this role, you will be responsible maintaining the firm’ s docketing database by processing, analyzing and docketing of daily incoming correspondence from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), foreign patent offices, foreign associates and clients. This includes entering of new records and actions, docketing of completed actions and as well as preparing various docket reports. Apply today!

Compensation: Up to $78K

Requirements for the Intellectual Property Docket Clerk:
  • Bachelor’ s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in patent docketing with a patent law firm or related experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of US and foreign patent prosecution procedures, terminology and deadlines
  • Familiarity with various Patent Office databases, including USPTO’ s PAIR
  • Previous experience using industry standard docketing database such as CPI
  • Ability and flexibility to respond well and prioritize and multi-task in a timely manner in a fast paced, high volume, due date driven environment
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
