A prestigious financial services company in Boston, MA is seeking an Investment Analyst to join their team. In this contract role, you will be responsible for providing operational support to all departments relating to the investment process. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic learning environment. Responsibilities for the Investment Analyst:
  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Traders to assist and support investment decisions and strategies
  • Trade confirmation and settlement support for International Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivative securities
  • Provide support to International trading desks located in US, Canada, UK, & Asia
  • Perform a review of daily cash balances and investigate any discrepancies
  • Liaise between Brokers and Custodian banks to support trade settlements
  • Ensure integrity of trading system data and evaluating all investment transactions
  • Assist with implementing industry initiatives as well as internal efficiencies and improvements
  • Will have experience with corporate actions, new fund launches, international trading markets, position and cash reconciliations
Requirements for the Investment Analyst:
  • University Degree in Finance or Business
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Middle Office Investment Operations management
  • Possess strong knowledge of all security types including derivatives, forward currencies, and complex securities
  • General knowledge of finance, portfolio accounting systems and general applications
  • Bloomberg OMS experience is a plus
  • Ability to operate within a high volume, fast paced, complex environment under tight deadlines
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
