A top investment management firm in Boston, MA is seeking a Junior Alternative Investment Analyst to join their team. In this contract role, you will assist the Fund Accounting, Treasury and Financial Reporting teams and will oversee certain centralized tasks and the monthly NAV process for a number of sponsored Hedge Funds. Responsibilities for the Junior Alternative Investment Analyst:
  • Support of certain monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) review processes
  • Perform a variety of daily/weekly/monthly centralized activities, such as manager and regulatory reporting
  • Research and resolve complex cash and position reconciliation items
  • Assist managers and analysts with strategic and tactical projects
Requirements for the Junior Alternative Investment Analyst:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting, finance, or business
  • Analyst operates in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently and meeting deadlines
  • This role requires a high degree analytical and problem-solving skills, candidates must have very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
