A world-class financial services firm in Boston, MA has a lucrative opening on their team as the Junior Client Service Analyst. This is a contract-to-hire role where you will be working in Fund Accounting and responsible for the proper servicing of commingled investment portfolios. This means you will focus on fund accounting through the use of technology, processing transactions, and monitoring trade settlements. Working under the direct supervision of more senior accountants, you will be responsible for the mutual fund accounting activities of one or two smaller and/or less complex funds.   • Contract is up to $14/hour plus overtime

Responsibilities of the Junior Client Service Analyst:
  • Maintain complete accounting records of 1-4 commingled investment asset portfolios
  • Process security or cash transactions as necessary
  • Ensure accurate and timely valuation of all assets within the portfolio
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly accounting proof packages
  • Periodically reconcile Foreign & Domestic cash securities positions with other departments or institutions
  • Complete and monitor trade settlement
  • Review and resolve accounting related breaks daily
  • Effectively utilize internal systems to support client servicing deliverables
  • Assist senior team member with client conversions
  • Provide a timely response and solution to internal inquiries, escalating to management when needed

Requirements for the Junior Client Service Analyst:
  • BA/BS degree (business/finance/accounting concentration is preferred), or equivalent work experience
  • Aptitude for numbers and accuracy (analytical ability)
  • Superior client service skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work alternative hours and overtime
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
