A large global law firm is seeking a bright and motivated Labor and Employment Paralegal to join their Boston office. Responsibilities for the Labor and Employment Paralegal:
  • Create, coordinate, implement and manage organizational tracking systems for large and complex document collection, review, analysis and case management
  • Review and draft routine legal documents
  • Assist attorneys in reviewing documents for privilege and draft privilege logs for production to opposing party
  • Serve as a project manager and work in conjunction with litigation technology department on automated litigation support projects 
  • Understand complex database concepts and terminology including imaging, coding and OCR of documents
  • Manage and utilize automated litigation support tools, including, but not limited to, database management software to identify issues
  • Create and utilize procedures for the organization, coordination and retrieval of documents
  • Create organizational systems for and maintain electronic and paper case files and workrooms
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, trials and arbitrations
  • Coordinate assembly of exhibits and appendices for court papers, witness sets, depositions and trials
  • Compile information identified by attorneys and prepare documentation as appropriate which clearly details the findings
  • Analyze and review documents as required by attorneys specific to case issues and determines necessary information

Requirements for the Labor and Employment Paralegal:
  • 3-5 years of solid litigation experience; Bachelor’ s degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Experience in employment litigation preferred
  • Proficiency with automated litigation support technology and large, complex case document collection, review and production experience 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the litigation process and e-discovery
  • High level of competence in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Sanction, Trial Director, Carpe Diem, FileSit, TextMap, CaseMap, Relativity or Concordance preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to pay very close attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
