Responsibilities for the Leave of Absence Coordinator:
  • Provide guidance and direction on leaves of absence to employees, managers, and HR Business Partners
  • Maintain Leave of Absence tracking spreadsheet and initiate communications to employees and managers regarding leave status
  • Work closely with outsourced absence administrator in the U.S. on disability and absence claims
  • Prepare spreadsheet for Payroll that details all pay due for employees on leave
  • Perform some data entry into Oracle HRIS
  • Act as a back-up to the Benefits Administrator on various tasks 
  • Present to new hires during weekly orientation
  • Support HR Operations department 
Requirements for the Leave of Absence Coordinator:
  • Experience with HRIS or databases, preferably Oracle
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state leave and disability laws (particularly MA and CA) and the ability to coordinate various leave types
  • Experience with Microsoft tools including Excel and Word
  • Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and follow up skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
  • Anticipates needs and issues of clients/employees and works proactively to address them
  • Highly dependable and motivated
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
