Our client in Boston, MA is looking for a Legal Practice Manager. In this role, you will assist with supporting clients and providing quality services to internal and external clients. Compensation: up to $140k

  Responsibilities for the Legal Practice Manager:
  • Manage billable and pro-bono assignment process for the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups, and collaborate with colleagues in the Practice Management Department to address cross-office staffing needs
  • Provide counsel, senior associates, associates and paralegals with assignments that provide appropriate professional development opportunities commensurate with experience
  • Coordinate reassignment of projects when attorneys and paralegals are on vacation or other leaves of absence. Assist in the administration of extended leave policies as needed
  • Oversee and manage the performance review process for a group of paralegals.
  • Address paralegal performance issues and personnel issues, partnering with Human Resources and the Director.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of Department and/or Practice Group strategic plans
  • Assist in the preparation of Department and/or Practice Group reporting, including the preparation of monthly productivity reports to Department Leaders, Practice Group Leaders, the Management Committee, and the Chief Practice Management Officer
  • Assist in coordinating, planning, and providing follow-up support to Department and Practice Group meetings, retreats, and other group meetings. Maintain meeting notes and follow up on action items. Coordinate room and technical requirements between firm’ s various offices as necessary
  • Coordinate with the Client Development Department and Transactional Department Director to track lateral partner integration initiatives

  Requirements for the Legal Practice Manager:
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • Minimum five years of directly related experience
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
