Our client in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced full-time Litigation Secretary to join their team. In this role, you will manage document transcription, complete federal and state court filings, and prepare legal correspondence. If you have three to five years of related experience, apply today!

Compensation: Up to $65k

Responsibilities for the Litigation Secretary:
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, memos, letters and reports
  • Assist with drafting and preparing documents such as petitions, motions and interrogatories
  • Assume accountability for all incoming and outgoing calls; answers phone, deal with routine inquires for both internal and external contacts
  • Maintain attorney(s) calendar and contact lists as requested
  • Coordinate all business related travel arrangements for direct report attorneys
  • Maintain familiarity with legal terminology, state and federal court filing rules, basic legal procedure and law firm document protocol
  • Operate standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, calculators, and uses required software applications to effectively perform job duties

  Requirements for the Litigation Secretary:
  • Three to five years of experience
  • Knowledge in federal and state court filings and e-filing
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
