Our client in Boston, MA is seeking a Loan Asset Manager to join their team. As the Loan Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of sub and non-performing assets, which vary in size as well as complexity. Essential duties and responsibilities will include restructuring credit and repayment terms; developing strategies to better secure collateral; collecting and monitoring monthly payments; etc. This position pays up to $80K-$110K plus bonus. Responsibilities for the Loan Asset Manager:
  • Pursue delinquent borrowers for payments in order to minimize delinquent and Non-Accrual Assets
  • Perform Purchase Loan Action Plans for newly acquired assets and performs monthly, quarterly and/or annual loan reviews for previously acquired assets
  • Complete both collateral site visits and borrower conferences in effort to better understand both the attributes and risks of the underlying security and the borrower intentions and motivations, while effectively communicating the expectations of the company and its investors
  • Perform credit and acquisition underwriting
  • Coordinate and monitor all legal efforts by outside counsel
  • Prepare and submit approval memos and keeps management informed of all active accounts including restructures, foreclosures and settlement resolutions
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio to insure loans are appropriately Risk Rated, per Credit Policy
  • Process all legal billing related to assigned portfolio in keeping with the guidelines provided by the Company’ s legal department
  • Project the anticipated expenses, resolution timeline, and income collection of their portfolio
  • Negotiate the terms of settlements, renewals, restructures and forbearance agreements
  • Perform financial operating and balance sheet data analysis
Requirements for the Loan Asset Manager:
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • Understanding and knowledge of portfolio management, including both credit and distressed debt familiarity
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
