A leading non-profit organization in Quincy, MA is seeking an entrepreneurial Membership Director to join their team. You will develop a global, data-driven, member-focused strategy and to build programs designed to achieve Association goals including membership growth, international expansion, and scalability. Reporting to the VP, this position contributes directly to the company’ s mission to help save lives and reduce loss with information, knowledge and passion.

Responsibilities for the Membership Director:
  • Develop and execute on a global, data-driven, stakeholder-focused membership strategy designed to serve stakeholder needs
  • Evaluate, stabilize and manage existing domestic membership programs to meet goals
  • Collaborate and ideate cross-functionally to develop innovative and integrated offerings relevant to a global audience
  • Work with Marketing/Digital Experience to design actionable programs for member acquisition and retention
  • Transition domestic membership program to global model
  • Develop a set of core metrics which track membership recruitment and retention by key membership segments
  • Oversee the planning and preparation of budgets related to the responsibilities assigned above, including costs, operating expenses and outlays; capital improvements and equipment purchases
  • Monitor and control budget in a manner responsive to the Association’ s monthly financial reporting cycle; identify and report changes, problems and discrepancies, to the financial analysis group
  • Evaluate staffing needs - hire, lead, develop and manage direct reports
Requirements for the Membership Director:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • You have deep knowledge of membership models and methodologies and you are wealth of information when it comes to acquisition, retention, lead generation and market sizing
  • You are driven to hit financial and analytical targets and naturally take a data-driven approach to decisions and success metrics
  • You are extremely well-versed in membership marketing strategies and tactics including content marketing, email marketing, brand marketing, social media, etc.
  • Your passion for customer satisfaction is evident in the care you take to listen to stakeholder and market needs and to build programs and processes designed to engage and delight our members
  • A skilled communicator, you aren’ t afraid to ask the critical questions and resolve complex issues
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
