Our client in Boston, MA is looking for a Patent Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting patent attorneys with all administrative work relating to US, PCT, and foreign patent applications. Compensation: up to $60K

Responsibilities for the Patent Assistant:
  • Support and assist patent attorneys with all administrative work relating to US, PCT and foreign patent applications, information disclosure statements, assignments, responses, and all documentation associated with correspondence to USPTO
  • Attorney docket monitoring and management
  • Assist with the management of foreign patent applications
  • Communication with and reporting to clients and foreign associates regarding instructions and the status of applications and actions
  • Maintenance of patent portfolios
  • Upload and file applications and all other documents/fees with the USPTO
  • Upload and file assignments and title documents within the Electronic Patent Assignment System

Requirements for the Patent Assistant:
  • Online USPTO filing experience
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
