Responsibilities of the Patient Service Rep:
  • Answers, screens, and processes a high volume of calls
  • Utilizes and adheres to the phone scripts and guidelines for calls
  • Asks appropriate questions and uses independent judgement to determine the type of the appointment, the appropriate provider or the urgency needed
  • Schedules appointment using the scheduling system and the software applications
  • Verifies patients information and transfers to registration for updates as needed
  • Informs patients of necessary preparation for scheduled visit, including providing documents, notes, or other related information.

Requirements of the Patient Service Rep:
  • High School Diploma, or GED; Associates Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of work related experience
  • Cell Center and/ or telephone customer service experience a plus
  • Strong typing skills (40+wpm) and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
